In her early 20s, Karla moved to Houston to work as a model for Neiman Marcus. She soon transitioned into investment banking, taking an entry-level position with Schneider Bernet and Hickman, an investment banking firm based in Dallas. By age 22, she had earned her license to trade securities and moved to Shearson Lehman Brothers where she traded interest-rate futures for regional Texas banks. She worked as an investment banker for 10 years and finished her career at Smith Barney. Along the way, Karla married and raised two sons and a daughter, bought a small farm in Austin County and ran a horse-breeding operation, and threw herself into hosting large political fund-raisers.
Seeking to combine her financial acumen and love for architecture and houses, Karla obtained her Texas real estate license in 2013. She represents buyers and sellers of all ages and price ranges throughout Houston to sell and purchase historical properties, Gulf Coast condominiums and homes, country ranches, and city properties.
For many years, Karla was a dedicated and influential volunteer, devoting considerable time and resources to supporting Special Olympics athletes and coaches as well as Triumph Over Kids Cancer (TOKC). As a Realtor, her schedule is a busy one but, whenever she can, Karla heads for the farm or the Texas coast to fish and kayak.

A native Texan, Channing was raised on a horse ranch before moving to Houston. She played varsity golf for Memorial High School. Ultimately, Channing got her real estate license and cut her teeth selling high rises in downtown Houston. After 14 years of marriage and raising a family, she went back to her roots, put her boots back on and bought a ranch of her own in Brenham, TX She soon realized that with her experience and love for the country, she could help others looking for their dream ranch. So, she focused her real estate practice on farm and ranch. Channing spends all her free time taking care of her family, horse, chickens and donkeys. In her work life, she absolutely loves connecting people with the country property of their dreams.

Jo Ann Holba admits, “I love Bellville and Austin County as much today as the first day I moved here in 1974.” It’s no wonder she has grown to become a multi-million dollar producer: she can’t resist showing off the rolling hills, spring wildflowers, and small town charm that she loves so much. Jo Ann’s love for real estate started well before moving into the country. While a youngster, she would read the real estate section of the newspaper daily. And in 1982, she made her passion into a career, earning a real estate license that would be followed with a Broker’s license. Jo Ann also achieved the prestigious Accredited Land Consultant Advanced(ALC) designation with NAR Realtor’s Land Institute (RLI) . Jo Ann has been married to Gary Holba for over 4 decades, a local native of Austin County and licensed Realtor, who also assists Jo Ann full-time and are the proud parents of one grown son, Stacey, a graduate of Southwest Texas State University who resides in Austin.
Cari Goeke leads buyers and sellers to tremendous success with her two decades of real estate experience and genuine passion for helping people. Having always been a country girl. I haved lived in the Austin County, Colorado County, Fayette County and Washington County area, for over 50 years. I am finally fulfilling a long desired bucket list item by becoming a Realtor,
I owned my business from 2001, until retiring in 2013. I have worked in banking, insurance and accounting prior to becoming my own boss. I became a Realtor in 2014, and a Broker with my own company, Remmert Real Estate, in 2019.
I have always worked in customer service and find helping customers rewarding by listening, understanding and finding solutions to their personal needs. I graduated Magna Cume Laude in Finance, but I continue to learn through Real Estate education, to stay up to date on the latest trends, rules and changes in contract forms, to be a better Realtor®.
